Warren Haney is an Australian artist, based in Queensland.
He is known for he is dramatic and hyper realistic large paintings.
He works mainly in Acrylic and is known for his figurative and portrait pieces, many of which feature women. He has painted people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.
Haney has worked as an artist for over 25 years. His artistic career began with him producing cartoons and working in the field of illustration, with his work appearing in surfing magazines, and as promotional material for bands, musicians and concerts.
Prior to becoming a fine art painter, Haney also worked as a performance painter for 10 years at South Bank in Brisbane.
During his career, Haney has exhibited his paintings with galleries in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, as well as in numerous Art Fairs in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. He has also entered his work into the Archibald Prize, the Sulman Prize, and the Doug Moran Prize.
