Rainbow Bee-Eaters (2008) – SOLD

I’m delighted to offer this incredibly detailed original work, “Rainbow Bee-eaters”
by Greg Postle who is regarded as one of Australia’s, and the world’s, best bird artists.

This intricate painting shows in painstaking detail the vibrant, rainbow-hued plumage
of a group of Rainbow Bee-eaters who are known for gathering in small flocks.

Using a myriad of very fine brushstrokes, not only does Postle render so faithfully the
spectacular colours and character of these beautiful birds, he also devotes his skill and
patience to represent in exacting detail the shapes and shadows cast over each individual
leaf and seed pod to create an incredibly realistic, almost three-dimensional effect.

The crisp display of realism in the foreground of the painting is complemented by
the backdrop of a majestic mountain range emerging from the misty horizons beyond.

This painting has to be seen to be believed and fully appreciated – it bears all the hallmarks
