United (1963) – SOLD

Robert Juniper is one of Australia’s most accomplished artists with a strong following in Western Australia, his home state, where he made a substantial and important contribution to the cultural scene.

A multi-disciplinary artist, Juniper won an impressive haul of prestigious art prizes and was awarded numerous commissions to create works for public spaces. 

I rarely have the pleasure of offering a painting by Juniper.  “United”, painted in 1963 in an elegant vertical shape, shows the attractive abstraction and intriguing surface textures that Juniper created in many of his works. The use of a couple in the composition is a particularly beautiful and poetic element, and not commonly available in Juniper’s pieces.

“United” is one of my favourite pieces in the Studio at the moment and so worth viewing in person to fully enjoy and appreciate the layers and textures.
