“Waterbirds and Eggs” was painted in 1986, and is a fine example of Pro’s waterbird subjects. What is particularly lovely is the inclusion of a nest with eggs – not a common occurrence in Pro’s waterbird oils, and a delightful point of interest.
The history of this painting is also delightful! Pro Hart was incredibly generous, donating many, many paintings to charities for fundraisers, as was the case with this painting, won years ago with a single raffle ticket by the current owner. What a lucky investment!
